Without any doubt the most travelled, most dedicated as well as most decorated player of the squad, Lubos Barton will suit up for his third EuroBasket, 14 years after his first appearance, in France, in 1999. Barton's dedication to the national team has never been in doubt in those 14 years of service and his experience proved crucial in last year's successful Qualification Round campaign with a useful 8.1 points 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists-per-game. After he left his native land in 1998, he spent time in the NCAA and Italy before finding a home in Catalonia, first with Joventut and Barcelona later. National team success is perhaps the only thing eluding him as he has won almost everything else: the 2010 Euroleague and the 2009 ACB League with FC Barcelona, as well as the 2008 ULEB Cup and the 2006 FIBA Europe EuroCup with Joventut Badalona.
