Another player who excelled last summer for Serbia at the FIBA World Championship, the contribution of Aleksandar Rasic was even more impressive since it was his major tournament debut. Building on his experiences in Euroleague with Partisan, he was given his opportunity by Coach Ivkovic last year and he took it with both hands. In fact he was not just given an opportunity, he was handed some seriously big minutes and he didn't let his coach down. He enjoyed some excellent performances, particularly from downtown where he showcased his abilities as a combo guard with some devastating perimeter shooting. Not only can he shoot the ball from range, he can also create and penetrate. Now he has proved he possesses the temperament to be a success at the elite level, he could be handed a similar role once again.
