Montenegro Stay Undefeated

Vladimir Dasic had 14 points and eight rebounds for Montenegro

Montenegro kept their unbeaten record in EuroBasket Qualification Round Group A intact with a 76-67 triumph over visiting Estonia.

Vladimir Dasic led a balanced scoring attack for the winners with 14 points and he also corralled eight rebounds.

Montenegro, who clinched their place in next year's EuroBasket with a home victory over Serbia at the weekend, never trailed against Estonia.

Luka Pavicevic's team reeled off the first 10 points of the game and never looked back.

Dasic had four points in that early run for the Montenegrins.

Montenegro were 23 of 28 (82.%) at the line and also out-rebounded Estonia 34-26.

Gregor Arbet had 12 points for Estonia, who next face Serbia at home.

The Estonians need to win that game to keep their hopes of advancing to the Final Round alive.

"This game was not very important for us, given that we have already qualified for the EuroBasket and secured first place in the group. This has been a mentally tough game because we played in the last game against extraordinary opponents such as Serbia and came to a big victory. The decline was evident, we struggled during most of the match, but the most important is that we have reached new heights, and that all the players have completed the match without injury. We turn to the next match, we want to finish the qualification unbeaten."

Estonia player Gert Dorbek:
"We opened the game bad and at the start we had a big minus, because Montenegro has achieved ten related points. Montenegro was the better team of us, we were trying to reduce the gap, but we did not succeed."
