Luxemburg player Pitt Koster "It was a very tough game or us. Sweden came out strong, got ahead and could work from there. They are taller, more physical and shot the ball very well. I think we put up a good fight and tried to stay in the game, and I think we did okay." Sweden center Joakim Kjellbom "A game like this is a bit different compared to meeting Germany or Azerbaijan who have players that are bigger and more physical. I think we did a good job of passing the ball and playing unselfish basketball. We scored 111 points which is good, maybe we could have kept them from scoring a little bit better, but we played an okay game." Luxembourg head coach Frank Baum "Our players are amateurs and we play against professionals. For us, the most important thing is that we can look ourselves in the mirror after the game and say that we did our best. I think we did that today, we played as well as I can ask for. I congratulate Sweden for playing well and to the win." Sweden head coach Brad Dean "We play at a fast pace, we scored 111 points and if you do that can let up in some points. Would it have been better if we won by 90-50 instead? It isn't to me, we are at our best when we play at a fast pace. The only problem for us is that Jonas Jerebko twisted his ankle. I was on my way to take him out of the game, but he wanted to stay in it to find his rhythm. If I could change I would, but I can't, that's sports. I have no idea if he can play against Bulgaria on Thursday, we'll get a better idea about that tomorrow." |
