| 24.08.2012 Brad Dean, Sweden head-coach: "Germany took control of the boards and the rebounding was decisive for this game. We made some very bad decisions in the second and third quarter which led to easy baskets for Germany. But I do not want to take away any credit from Germany, they deserved the win." Jonas Jerebko, Sweden: "We started off well today but we knew it would be a tough game. After Germany got going, we lost our confidence. We did come back in the game towards the end but it was not enough. In the next games, we have to play better defensively and play better as a team." Lucca Staiger, Germany: "We showed character today as the game got close towards the end. The crowd helped us a lot today and pushed us. I am very happy that I rediscovered my shooting. It is an honour to play for coach Pesic and everybody defends giving 150 percent." Svetislav Pesic, Germany head-coach: "This is one of the best arenas that I have ever experienced. Thank you very much, Ulmer Basketball Fans. I am not satisfied with our last quarter. But I have to give my team credit as they played excellent basketball for three quarters." |
