Poland cruised to an 89-59 victory over Albania in their last Qualification Round game for the EuroBasket on Saturday night.

Having lost a couple of games early on that made for a difficult campaign, the Poles bounced back and clinched their place in the EuroBasket field in Slovenia in midweek.

They prevailed in their last game, winning convincingly against the visiting Albanians.

Marcin Gortat capped a superb summer with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Albania, who were led by Klaudio Ndoja's 18 points in the contest, had an 18-17 lead by the end of the opening frame but Poland took command in the second, outscoring the visitors 24-15.

Ales Pipan's side put the result beyond doubt in the third quarter when they added 12 more points to their advantage.
