Ville KAUNISTO - EuroBasket 2013 Profile
Team 2012-13: ADA Blois Basket (France-NM1 2012-13)
Career: Piiloset Turku (Finland-Korisliiga, 1999-00); Salon Vilpas (Finland-Korisliiga, 2001-02); Kouvolan Kouvot (Finland-Korisliiga, 2002-04); USC Fribourg (Switzerland-LNA, 2004-05); Aurora Basket Jesi (Italy-LegaDue, 2005); Limoges CSP (France-NM1, 2005-06); CB Plasencia (Spain-LEB2, 2006-07); Qalata Cajasol Sevilla (Spain-LEB2, 2007-08); Oviedo CB (Spain-LEB3, 2008); CB Tarragona (Spain-LEB2, 2008); BBC Nyon (Switzerland-LNA, 2008-09); Kouvolan Kouvot (Finland-Korisliiga, 2009-11); ADA Blois Basket (France-NM1, 2011-13)

Even though Kaunisto is still relatively unknown in the national team circle, his skills are not to be denied as he has been named MVP for three seasons in a row now - Finnish Korisliiga in 2011 and French NM1 in 2012 and 2013. Kaunisto's experience, skill and wits make him a valuable asset for this deep Finland team. He has gathered experience from professional leagues ever since leaving Finland for the first time in 2004 and accepted the call by national team head coach Henrik Dettmann a year ago, significantly improving the Finnish frontcourt with his presence. When Kaunisto gets into his groove, he is a lot of fun to watch because of his throwback type of game.
