David Blu, known before as Bluthenthal, is an American-born forward who has been a big part of continuing Maccabi Tel Aviv's dynasty which have included Euroleague success. After a fine college career in the states at the University of Southern California, he joined Maccabi before gaining a pre-season spot with the Sacramento Kings, and also playing in taly. He declined to play in EuroBasket 2007 and 2009, but joined up with the Israeli National Team last summer and played a key part in their qualification with eight points and 4.3 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game. A real threat from outside the three-point arc, he can be influential at both ends of the floor, and can be expected to play a significant role at EuroBasket 2011.
