Having not played last summer during the Qualifying Round, Marco Cusin could return for Italy to provide some much needed athleticism and rebounding skills to their frontcourt. A high octane big man, Cusin is versatile and can play the four of five spot but wherever he plays, fans love to see him crashing the boards and he definitely has an edge on his team-mates in this area of the game. Having played for a few seasons in the second tier of Italian basketball a couple of years ago, he has just completed his second campaign back in the top flight and made such as impression that he took part in the Italian League All Star game earlier this year. He runs the floor well and in addition to his offensive skills, he is always liable to come up with a block or steal on defence, an element of his game which has improved in recent times. Cusin last played for the National Team during the Qualifying Round for EuroBasket 2009.
