Having looked up to Zoran Savic as a child, Vladimir Stimac has turned into a physical big man and hard worker himself. Willing to constantly improve his game and deliver what his team needs, the 26-year-old has plied his trade across Europe and developed into a quality center. Stimac is a member of a very successful Serbian generation, having won a gold medal in each of the competitions he participated in: 2005 U18 European Championship, 2007 U20 European Championship, as well as the Universiade in 2009 and 2011. Last summer's Qualification Round was Stimac's first campaign with the seniors. The center has completed a successful season with Turkish side BK Banvit, helping the team to reach the Turkish play-off finals, and despite the long season, Stimac will again leave his heart on the court to spark Serbia's EuroBasket campaign.
