Latvia bounced back from their disappointment against Georgia with an 89-53 drubbing of Romania on Monday.

The Baltic side, playing at home in Riga, had fallen 79-76 at Georgia on Friday, a defeat that saw Ainars Bagatskis' team miss nine of their 12 free-throws.

On Monday, they stormed into a 21-14 lead by the end of the first quarter and stretched that to 49-29 by halftime.

They moved even further ahead in the third quarter and cruised to an easy victory.

Bagatskis will have been pleased with his players' concentration at the charity stripe because this time, they nailed 16 of their 21 attempts (76.2%).

Rihards Kuksiks had 19 points for the Latvians, who buried 13 of their 30 shots from the arc.

Latvia also dominated the boards, out-rebounding Romania 43-34 as they improved to 2-2 in Group D.

Romania dropped to 1-3.
