Dmytro Zabirchenko is an experienced guard who provides Ukraine with a steady hand and is usually utilised for the National Team coming off the bench. While not a prolific scorer, he is a good ball handler and very controlled, rarely losing his head or the ball. He played in Euroleague and Eurocup last season with Budivelnyk and has taken part in the Ukrainian All Star game for the past three seasons. Zabirchenko will also come up with some important rebounds and generally works hard on defence which is where his main strength lies. He is an important defensive player for club and country and one player Coach Fratello is likely to call on if he needs an opposing guard locked down. |
