Nika Metreveli is yet another top Georgian prospect in the frontcourt who tasted senior National Team action last summer during the Qualifying Round. He has enjoyed a successful career at youth level and is a former MVP of the prestigious NBA Basketball without Borders camp. His potential was recognised by Italian powerhouse Montepaschi Siena who have signed him to a long term deal. He has been playing in the lower tiers of Italian basketball to gain experience but in time, he is expected to develop into an important player for Georgia. He is still learning his post moves but has good size, can play defence well for a young player and can only get better. He will be hoping for a few minutes coming off the bench if he makes the final cut. |
