Croatia stayed unbeaten in the EuroBasket Qualification Round on Monday with a hard-fought, 82-75 victory at Austria.

Austria have been playing like a team on the rise in Europe, giving more celebrated opponents all they can handle.

That was the case against the Croatians as well but once again, the team coached by Nedeljko Asceric came up just short of victory.

With 6:28 remaining, Austria's 20-year-old center Rasid Mahalbasic scored to knot the contest at 66-66.

Croatia's Roko Ukic replied with a jumper and the visitors went on to reel off 11 unanswered points.

When the contest was over, guard Bojan Bogdanovic had a team-high 19 points and Ukic 14 for Croatia.

Mahalbasic, one of the top young players on the continent, led all scorers in the game with 21 points.

While Austria fell to 1-3 with the defeat, Croatia improved to 4-0.
