Jan-Hendrik Jagla finally lived up to his potential during last summer's FIBA World Championship by leading Germany in both scoring (13.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.2 rpg). That performance put a mixed EuroBasket 2009 behind him as he noticeably improved his field goal percentage. Germany will need him to continue in this vein if they want to be successful and the onus is on him to continue to exert his influence. He is a good offensive rebounder which is quite surprising given he likes to shoot from outside but he is particularly adept at following up his own shots or crashing the boards weak-side to get his fair share of rebounds. At club level he has had experience in the big leagues such as Spain and Turkey and won the 2008 ULEB Cup with Joventut Badalona. After a successful season in Euroleague he returned to Turk Telekom for 2010/11.
