Stefano Mancinelli has been described by some people as one of the best small forwards of a generation and certainly his influence on the Italian National Team has been considerable having played at previous EuroBasket tournaments and also the FIBA World Championship. While he does often play the three spot, he can also step up and play power forward due to his good physical attributes and athleticism. He thrives in transition and when the tempo is high in games so he can run the floor, throw down dunks and basically enjoy crashing the boards. He brings a real spark and edge to any team along with relentless energy. He can certainly leap too and is always ready to use his better than average court vision to find an open team-mate. Defensively meanwhile he is capable of defending larger opponents in the paint and earlier this year he was named the MVP at the Italian League All Star game. |
