EUROBASKET QUALIFIERS

12. Mirza Teletovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Mirza Teletovic, who was the leading scorer in the Qualification Round up until gameday 5, responded to challengers with 36 points on Sunday

A typically dazzling display by Mirza Teletovic and an astonishing final quarter helped Bosnia and Herzegovina maintain their challenge in Qualification Round Group D as they racked up a memorable 99-83 win against the Netherlands.

Teletovic amassed a super 36 points while the Dutch disintegrated in spectacular fashion during the last ten minutes to facilitate the victory which takes Bosnia and Herzegovina to four wins and two losses.

There were also fine performances from both Elmedin Kikanovic and Zackary Wright for the Sarajevo faithful to enjoy, with the former claiming an excellent 20 points and 10 rebounds while the latter just missed out on double-double by one board, having scored 24 points.

The final margin of victory didn't tell the whole story of a game which, early in the fourth quarter, still hung in the balance after the Dutch managed to haul themselves back into the contest.

Down 49-36 at the interval, the visitors came out a different team during the third quarter and incredibly, not only fought back, but went 64-60 ahead.

However, they then inexplicably imploded as their defence evaporated during the last quarter when they allowed their hosts to outscore them 35-15.

The loss was particularly tough to take for Robin Smeulders who continued his good form with 21 points and 15 rebounds.
