Belarus led from beginning to end at Portugal tonight and clinched victory in a battle of winless teams.

The Portuguese, participants in last year's EuroBasket, lost for the fourth time in Qualification Round Group F, 82-76.

After trailing by 13 points, Mario Palma's team fought back and pulled to within a single point at the end of the third quarter.

Belarus scored the first 10 points of the fourth quarter, though, getting jump shots from four different players, to take control of the Group F clash.

Dzianis Korshuk started the important run with the first jumper and Artsiom Parakhouski and Dante Stiggers followed suit.

Aliaksandr Pustahvar then drilled a three-ball for a 67-57 Belarus advantage.

Korshuk added a free-throw to finish the spurt.

Parakhouski led all Belarus scorers with 19 points.

Veteran point guard Mário-Gil Fernandes also had 19 for Portugal.

Belarus improved to 1-3.

Their next game is at the Czech Republic.
