Bosnia and Herzegovina blew out Romania on Saturday night to clinch first place in EuroBasket Qualification Round Group D. In their last game, Aleksandar Petrovic's side rolled to a 93-58 victory - their sixth triumph in eight contests. Georgia (5-2) can equal that record with a victory over the Netherlands at home on Tuesday but their inferior goal differential in the games with the Bosnians allows the latter to win a potential tie-breaker. Mirza Teletovic has been the leading light for Bosnia and Herzegovina all summer long and that was the case again on Saturday against Romania. The Brooklyn Nets rookie had 15 points and eight rebounds. Bosnia and Herzegovina put the result beyond doubt with a dominating display in the first half. They outscored Romania 25-12 in the opening frame and 32-12 over the next 10 minutes. |
