Sweden rolled to victory over Luxembourg on Monday night in the EuroBasket Qualification Round. Beaten soundly by Germany in their previous game, Brad Dean's side claimed a 111-74 triumph over Luxembourg to improve to 2-2 in Group B. The game was effectively over by half-time with the Swedes on top, 55-27. Seven players hit double digits in points for Sweden, led by Anton Saks' 16. The 23-year-old small forward also had eight rebounds, while in less than 21 minutes on the floor, Detroit Pistons forward Jonas Jerebko had 14 points and nine boards. Germany lead the group at 4-0 while the Bulgarians, Azerbaijan and Sweden are each 2-2. Bulgaria won the first encounter with Sweden in Sofia, 78-73. |
