There was no respite for struggling Iceland against Serbia in Group A of the EuroBasket Qualification Round as Dusan Ivkovic and his team routed their opponent 114-58 to boost their hopes of automatic qualification.

The game was effectively over as a meaningful contest after just one quarter after the home side went into overdrive from the tip-off, blasting their way into a 35-12 advantage.

Iceland already had a sizeable hill to climb when they initially took to the floor and by the time ten minutes had elapsed, it became an absolute mountain as Serbia exposed the obvious gulf in class.

They also lit it up from outside, dropping an eye-popping 13 triples with Danilo Andjusic and Milos Teodosic leading the way with three each.

The utter dominance of Serbia was also highlighted by seven players managing to reach double-digits whilst Jakob Sigurdarson and Hlynur Baeringsson were the only ones who reached that particular landmark for Iceland.
