Germany dominated the second and third quarters to top Sweden 81-66 and stay perfect in the EuroBasket 2013 Qualification Round.

The hosts outscored Sweden 47-25 over the middle two quarters to secure a win that a late Swedish rally never threatened.

Germany broke the game open with a 19-5 run in the second quarter, started when Tim Ohlbrecht threw down Lucca Staiger's alley-oop pass and capped when Heiko Schaffartzik's three-pointer made it 38-24 with 3:39 left in the period.

Back-to-back three-pointers from Philipp Schwethelm and Per Gunther made it 53-31 early in the third period and it was Schwethelm from long-range again to make it 59-33.

Sweden would rally in the fourth quarter, with three-pointers from Martin Pahlmblad and Jonas Jerebko powering an 11-0 run that made it 70-58 with 5:42 left to go.

But they got no closer with Staiger and Robin Benzing hitting threes that helped Germany easy to the finishing line.

Benzing and Schaffartzik had 15 points each for Germany, with Schaffartzik hitting four of his six three-point attempts.

Staiger added 12 points.

Jerebko led Sweden with 22 points but was the only player to score in double figures.
