Kristjan Kangur led Estonia to the hard-fought overtime victory in Israel with 21 points

Estonia launched a stirring fourth-quarter rally and then edged out Israel in overtime as they improved to 2-0 in Group A of the EuroBasket Qualification Round.

Israel were looking good for their first win of the campaign after jumping out to an early 25-10 lead and then taking a 63-52 lead into the final six minutes.

The Israel lead was 73-65 insde the final two minutes, but Siim-Sander Vene nailed a three and Sten Sokk followed with a lay-up to slice it to two.

Omri Casspi's lay-up gave Israel breathing space, but Vene replied with another jump-shot and they then capitalised on a Casspi turnover.

Dorbek missed his first three-point attempt, but Sokk got a crucial offensive rebound and found Dorbek again, with the guard making no mistake second time around to tie it 75-75 with three seconds left.

Israel drew first blood in the extra period but from 82-79 up with 1:51 left to go they were overwhelmed as Sokk and Vene came up with the crucial points.

Kristjan Kangur led Estonia with 21 points while Vene had 17 and 10 rebounds and Sokk scored 16.

Casspi scored 23 to lead Israel, who drop to 0-2. Lior Eliyahu had 13 points, Raviv Limonad 12, Yotam Halperin 11 and Yogev Ohayon 10 with nine boards.
